Attended Rep. Eric Massa’s Town Hall meeting at Victor High School Auditorium this afternoon/evening. Quite a crowd! I brought fliers for our upcoming “Freedom Flicks” movie night (a 7:00 pm showing of ‘Fiat Empire’) at The German House Theatre Sept. 10 and managed to distribute about 400. Most people were receptive and I was surprised how many had already heard about it.

I arrived around 4:30, an hour before the scheduled start. Grabbing a spot by the main entrance, I found it tough sledding at first. The early arrivals were predominantly supporters of Mr. Massa and his positions. There was a tight lipped determination about them as they strode through quickly looking neither left or right. The offer of a “Free Movie” brought few smiles to their faces. Knowing that they’ve been outnumbered at these events, there seemed an effort to fill the hall as best they could before the arrival of what the media has been describing as “the angry mob”. And arrive they did. There was a steady line of cars snaking slowly onto the campus for well over an hour. When the lots were full they parked up and down High Street. These folks were generally much more receptive and smiling to my offer. Once inside people lined the hallways with no hope of gaining entrance to the overflowing room. They could not hear or see what was happening but they weren’t leaving. Through their presence alone they were willing the course of the debate.

This feels to me like there is much more than health care at play here. Lost jobs, missing pensions, cuts to Social Security, trillion dollar bailouts with no accountability, “hate crime” bills infringing on constitutionally guaranteed free speech, government takeover of the auto industry among others, a continuation of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with looming wars in Pakistan and Iran, amnesty, spending money that we do not have saddling our children’s children with a debt burden they will never be able to repay, has energized the people in way we have not seen before.

I left at 6:45 and went back to work for a bit. Watched the news at 11:00 with footage from inside the Auditorium.

It seems the sleeping giant has awakened.

‘Rumors are the Paul followers plan to flood the caucuses and will try to overturn the already established rules regarding how Missouri’s delegation will vote at the National Convention in St. Paul this summer.’

This is hard to believe. Last Tuesday Ron Paul won his congressional primary with 70% (37,220) of the vote. In the same district he received 6,697 votes in the presidential primary. Does this seem even remotely possible?

“For all the reporting they’ve done on him, you’d think Ron Paul didn’t exist. He’s one of three candidates left in a Republican field that started with eleven, and yet you’d never know he was one of the last three survivors. If he was on American idol he’d be making headlines. Most everyone in America would know his name. ……  So many people out there are just too lazy, just too dependent on the mainstream media to find out what their choices are. As a result, we all get the bottom of the barrel, the dregs of the political establishment, and so it is that corruption is so rampant in Washington DC.”

We in Ron Paul Nation know the Dr. is concerned about the protection of the dollar, and the dollar’s value in relation to our money supply. I thought a brief review of some extreme historical examples of ‘Hyperinflation’ might be worth a look.

These are admittedly extreme examples and I do not want to appear too alarmist. However, the Fed’s actions and our disastrous foreign policy have without a doubt put us on this road. How far along we have traveled I am unsure, but I think we’re in uncharted territory.

A “U” turn is needed folks, and we need Dr. Paul at the wheel.

He knows the way back home.

From Alan Stang:

“Wherever I go, I find very few people who dislike Ron Paul. Because you will never meet a man more humane, what could a normal person dislike? I go out of my way to ask black people about him. Those who have heard of him smile. So far, I have not found one who dislikes him. There is no reason to believe your experience is any different. Everyone but the totalitarians likes Dr. Ron, but many won’t vote for him because “he can’t win.”

From Lew Rockwell:

“Here is the four-part video of Ron and perhaps 7,000 students at the University of Texas, Austin. And note what inspires these great kids and all Ron Paulians–the pure, unadulterated message of liberty: no foreign wars, no Federal Reserve, no income tax, no police state, no war on drugs, and the original, minimalist Constitution.”

Casting about recently, I ran across an article on Jackie Robinson, the Hall of Fame ballplayer who in 1947 first broke the ‘color barrier’ in major league sport. His revolutionary stand for freedom and liberty, the simple act of playing a game, brought a plague on his house that was almost biblical in it’s proportion. (more…)

Paul’s decision to take a brief hiatus from the national campaign to defend his Texas congressional seat has caused much gnashing of teeth and rending of garments in certain quarters of Ron Paul Nation. This is misplaced energy. In years past we should remember, the New Hampshire primary wasn’t even held until March!

By front loading the primary process, the Beltwayites have given the electorate the ‘bum’s rush’, evincing an air of inevitability for their chosen candidates. This ‘get it over with quick’ strategy is not fail-safe however. Nine months is an eternity in today’s jacked-up world. None of the annointed will bear scrutiny or wear well with the people.

Dr. Paul’s time is yet down the road.

Supporters need to stay focused and continue to spread the message. We are in the first act of this epic, and I understand the last act has a large audience participation number in it.

Patience.

Ron Paul Nation has been in a state of suspended animation since the results of the Super Tuesday vote were announced. Watching as our lying media, worked again to rob our man of his vote and the American people of his message.

The message that supporters received from Dr. Paul today, the first since Super Tuesday, was most revealing in it’s matter of fact way. Campaigning continues on to the Republican convention, there will be no third party run. He is also defending his congressional seat. Apparently his crystal ball is no clearer than anyone else’s, but he’s right about the message needing an advocate in Congress.

Scaling back his national staff, he is putting the campaign in the people’s hands. If he is to be elected, his supporters must find a way to do it.

It will not happen any other way.

If the adage “in times of great chaos, comes great change” rings true, Dr. Paul’s timing is good. His instincts have been right so far. A man who would title his upcoming book, ‘The Revolution: A Manifesto’, is forward thinking if nothing else.

The message of personal liberty and freedom are timeless and should not be considered revolutionary. How his supporters go about the good work of getting him elected, and defeating the conventional wisdom, is the revolution.

Election day is nine months away, and I’m already holding on to my hat.

Organize!

On the night that Fox News excluded Ron Paul from the final debate in New Hampshire, a spontaneous rally of many of Dr Paul’s supporters just sort of happened in downtown Manchester. About 400 of us gathered at an intersection that included the Merrimac Restaurant and while not exactly angry, we were not happy campers either. Some may have seen a video of Sean Hannity having to eat and run that night.

Later a focus group conducted by Frank Luntz, Fox Pollster, and first rate propagandist, was held there. When the Paul supporters discovered what was happening inside it got a little raucous. Surrounding the rear of the restaurant where the focus group was being held a chant of, “Tell us what to think Frank. Tell us what to think”, kept a few of the locals up I’m sure.

Mr. Luntz came out when finished and had a revealing conversation with us concerning the blackout of our candidate. For the most part I felt we kept our cool.

This is our media in action.

(Props to the supporter who put this video on Youtube.)

I honestly believe that if Dr. Paul was allowed fair and equal media coverage, he would win in a landslide.

By their actions the Main Stream Media knows this too.

My son and I spent 6 days in New Hampshire working with ‘Operation Live Free Or Die’ to help in the election of the only true American statesman in the presidential primaries, Dr. Ron Paul. We had quite the time and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Arriving late on Thursday the 4th, the day of the Iowa Caucus, we watched, with disbelief, the election reports from Iowa by our corrupt media as they worked to keep Dr. Paul’s name from being mentioned or shown anywhere on the TV screen. This blackout by the media has been repeated in every primary since. I am hopeful that the American people will ask themselves why Dr. Paul is excluded, smeared, and laughed at by The Powers That Be. There is one and only one reason why, they are terrified of his message. Liberty and Personal Freedom!

The next morning we began our work and it continued non-stop until the polls closed on Tuesday. We attended rallys, marched in Manchester and Concord, did phone bank work, canvassed door to door, poll watched and attended sign waving events at major intersections and malls. My cargo van turned into the “Rally Wagon” loaded with signs and campaign gear.

The group that we worked with were remarkable. Coming from every state and traveling on their own dime they worked tirelessly and fearlessly for Dr. Paul. Supporters came and went, sleeping on the floor in the group houses as long as they were able. On election day, there were at least 500 of us in the state. The memories of working side by side with those decent men and women, most whose names I don’t even know, will long stay with me and I am truly proud of having been a small part of it.

I am most proud of my son John who carried himself with a maturity far beyond his thirteen years. He was treated as an equal by all, pitching in, doing whatever was asked of him, uncomplaining. His respect for the issues and Dr Paul as the messenger will serve him well.

The state of New Hampshire is humming during these presidential primaries. Hundreds of major media from around the world and the candidates themselves are available and accessible to anyone on the street. I can think of no other event where all this unbridled power is sitting next to you at the diner counter having eggs over easy.

The opposing political camps had their fans, and there was an ongoing, friendly for the most part, interaction between us. The ‘Paulistas’ engaged any and all in debate. The other candidates supporters were asked frequently why they believed in their man/woman. This was more often than not met with a silent blank stare or some mumblings about an ill defined ‘change’. I saw many reading our campaign literature and am sure that more than a few were won over.

So, if you believe in Freedom, Personal Liberty, a restoration of all our Constitutional Rights, an end to the Iraq debacle, repeal of the Patriot Act, sensible foreign policy, sound money, and an end to the welfare/warfare nanny state Dr. Ron Paul is your man.

This is a peaceful revolution gentle readers, and it is just beginning.

Long Live The Revolution!

Not another Ron Paul column. Yes, because certain things need to get said and done because the clock is ticking.

For those who are undecided about a candidate, I invite you to visit my election special; updates on the individual files soon. For those of you who do support Congressman Paul, we must stay focused and recognize certain realities.

Enemy number one: Ron Paul is a target of the compromised “mainstream media” and that includes cable network propaganda machines like FAUX (FOX) News, MSNBC and CNN. This is a fact. They are powerful, they are rotten to the core. They cannot cast your vote. However, they can and do influence the herd who rely on someone else (Oprah Winfrey, Chuck Norris, et al) to tell them how they should vote. The attacks on Ron Paul will become more fallacious as we move along in the process. These buzzards who call themselves news anchors, commentators and fair and balanced have shown themselves to be just the opposite when it comes to one man’s run for the White House. The standouts include: Read the rest of the entry…

What a day! I am humbled and inspired, grateful and thrilled for this vast outpouring of support.

On just one day, in honor of the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, the new American revolutionaries brought in $6.04 million, another one-day record. The average donation was $102; we had 58,407 individual contributors, of whom an astounding 24,915 were first-time donors. And it was an entirely voluntary, self-organized, decentralized, independent effort on the internet. Must be the “spammers” I keep hearing about!

The establishment is baffled and worried, and well they should be. They keep asking me who runs our internet fundraising and controls our volunteers. To these top-down central planners, a spontaneous order like our movement is science-fiction. But you and I know it’s real: as real as the American people’s yearning for freedom, peace, and prosperity, as real as (more…)
